Community Buliders met in the LMC today to create slideshows using the app Adobe Voice. They told us what they were looking forward to with spring. They added photos, their voice, music and a theme to their presentation. Here are their creations.
Check out our slideshow of our Community Builders playing games together in the gym. Students got into groups to go through magazines to find pictures of items listed in scavenger hunt list. Students were provided with a postervoard to make a collage of all the pictures they found. They had to organize themselves so they could get as many items as they could on the paper in a half an hour. It is wonderful to see the groups organizing themselves into different jobs and collaborating with each other to accomplish this team task. In a half an hour, second grade students, and then 3-5 students were introduced to a new app called Shadow Puppets Edu. They were challenged to come up with a video that shows how to be a good friend. It was wonderful to watch the interaction between our students actually being good friends as they worked collaboratively to produce these videos. We hope you enjoy them! We broke all the students up into small groups, and they were all given a pile of recyclable materials. They were asked to use their creativity to design the tallest tower that could stand on its own. The tallest towers were then displayed near the front office. Check out the pictures from our Tower Building. Students were broken up into their teams and were asked to perform a series of different relay races across the gym. We differentiated our races to accomodate all capabilities of our students! Here are a few pictures from our activities. |
